Superior Little League to host District 4 All-Star Tournament

Superior Little League will serve as host of the Arizona Little League District 4 2015 – 11-12 All-Star Baseball Tournament, which will take place June 29 – July 7 at the league field located at Sunset and Belmont.

Florence Little League is the top-seed in the seven-team tournament and will have a first-round bye as a result.

The three first round games are as follows: Game 1, June 29 – Maricopa vs. San Manuel/Mammoth/Oracle at 6 p.m., Game 2, June 29 – Casa Grande vs. Santa Cruz at 7:30 p.m., and Game 3, June 30 – Superior vs. Coolidge at 6 p.m.

Florence will face the Game 1 winner on June 30 at 7:30 p.m.

The tournament hosts are in need of volunteers for umpiring, game day field preparation, scorekeeping, pitch counting, game announcing, concessions, and clean-up. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Superior Little League President Arlene Diaz-Gonzalez at 480-309-4049 or Vice President Martine Navarrette at 928-701-7451.
