The cutest song has hit the pop music airwaves recently urging people to “shut up and dance.” This could be the motto for Zumba.

Just next to the West End Café on Airport Rd. in Kearny, the new excitement is Zumba Classes with Veronica Bracamonte. Veronica is a licensed Zumba Class teacher and has been teaching Zumba for several years now.

“Every class feels like a party come join me and you will see what I mean,” she said. “You don’t need to know how to dance you just follow my lead and it’s easy!”

Veronica is full of energy and excitement with her new venture. She has several members of the community young and old attending.

Unlike other aerobics classes, Zumba is a unique dance workout where you shake your hips, side touches, V-steps, stretches, cha-cha-chas and other dance moves. Participants learn through repetition and by example. Don’t worry if you can’t finish – learning as you go is key.

Veronica offers beginning Zumba basic, with the intention of adding Zumba Gold (for our golden ladies and brave gentlemen). She will soon offer Zumba kids for the little ones. In addition to the classes, she will be offering optional Nutritional Programs to go alongside the healthy journey to a new healthy lifestyle.

Veronica is operating on a donation basis for now and her hours vary from morning classes to evening classes for more information visit veronicab.zumba.com.

Come enjoy the fun while getting in shape!
