On Nov. 11, 2014 the Town of Kearny had a Veteran’s Day celebration to honor and thank our veterans. The event was held at the new Kearny flag display which was designed after the flag pole of the U.S.S. Arizona. The Ray High School Color Guard presented the colors. The guest speaker was Frank W. Giroux of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Kearny Mayor thanked the audience for their patriotism and the veterans for their service and sacrifice. He led the audience in singing the Star Spangled Banner.
