Three artists put a show together in Oracle at Trowbridge Hall. The reception and show was held on Saturday, March 7. The exhibit was called “The World Coming Together”. The artists are Anna-Maria Dickinson, Risa Waldt and Diana Creighton.
Anna-Maria is from the Caribbean, born in St. Vincent and spending most of her youth in Trinidad. She lives in Canada and has been spending her winters in Oracle the last couple of years. Her artist friends say she has a split personality reflected in her paintings. There is the hot steamy Caribbean influence and the cool North American/Canadian side of her that is displayed in the different styles in her paintings. Her medium of choice is oils. You can learn more about her and view her paintings at http://annamaria-dickinson.artistwebsites.com.
Risa Waldt is a native Tucsonan. Her love of the desert light and mountain landscapes can be seen in her paintings. Her median of choice is watercolors although she paints in oils and other mediums. She was recognized in the August 2014 issue of the Southwest Art Magazine, Women in Art. Her paintings and information about her and her art can be seen at http://www.risawaldt.com.
Diana Creighton lives in Oracle. Her medium of choice is oils. Diana describes her art as “magical realism”. Learn more about Diana and her unique works at www.soupbangstudio.com. The artists will be part of the Oracle Studio Tour coming up in April 11 and 12.
