Santa’s reindeer will be resting up, so Santa will be hitching a ride with the LifeNet EMS crew Friday. He will land at Mountain Vista School before heading over to the Oracle Fire Department.

On Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, Santa Claus will be at the Oracle Fire Station to visit with the kids. Santa’s reindeer are resting up for their big night so Santa will be arriving by helicopter, which has been generously donated by LifeNet EMS. Santa will be landing at the Mountain Vista School football field around 2 p.m. where he will greet students as he transfers to a fire engine for a ride around town before his arrival at the Oracle Fire station around 4:30 p.m.

At the fire station the kids can visit with Santa and receive a bag of goodies. There will also be free hot chocolate and cookies.

Santa will be at the station until 7:30 before heading back to the North Pole. The entire community is welcome to stop by and visit with Mr. Claus.

If you don’t get a chance to tell Santa in person about your Christmas wishes, please make sure to write him a letter.

Tri-Community children can mail their wishes to Santa in the special mailboxes that can be found throughout the area. In Mammoth, head over to La Casita Restaurant. In Oracle, the box is located at DeMarco’s. San Manuel children can leave their letters at the box inside Vantage West Credit Union.

Santa has also set up a special email address if you want to send your wishes to him electronically. The email address is santa@minersunbasin.com. And please when emailing include the town where you live so that your letter can be published in the right newspaper.

This year, Mr. Claus has given us permission to accept letters through our Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/CopperArea). Just send us a private message (PM) with your child’s letter to Santa. Please be sure to include the town where you live so we can publish it in the right newspaper.

Hurry and get your letters in quickly so they can be forwarded to the North Pole in plenty of time for the big day. The deadline to mail letters in Santa’s special mailbox is Dec. 18. Santa needs time to get all the requests fulfilled.

Letters will be published on Dec. 23.
