Heidi Elizabeth Blankenship hiked the Arizona Trail from Mexico to Utah.
Inspired by the natural beauty of the trail’s landscapes, she wrote poetry and took photographs along the way. Heidi has taken those poems and images and turned them into a book, Memorizing Shadows: Inspiration from the Arizona Trail.
On Sunday, Oct. 29, Heidi read from her book at a poetry and book signing held at the Kannally Ranch House at Oracle State Park. The reading was followed by live music performed by Eric Shaffer and the Troublemakers.
Memorizing Shadows is available for sale at Oracle State Park and on the Arizona Trail Association website.
