Physical altercation takes life of Kearny man

On Friday evening at around 11 p.m. an altercation involving three men resulted in the assault and later death of Milo Candelaria, 45 of Kearny. Candelaria was assaulted physically in front of the La Cantina bar on Alden Road in Kearny.

Kearny Police Department has reported that they do not believe any weapons were used in the assault. At this time no one is in custody over the assault however KPD does expect charges to be filed. At press time names of the alleged assailants were not available due to the ongoing investigations.

Candelaria was taken by helicopter to University Medical Center in Tucson where he succumbed to his injuries. He leaves behind two children, a mother, brother, sister and fiancé.
