Monster Book Fair promises scarily good entertainment value

San Manuel – In the night, you wake to the dry, rasping sound of pages being turned. Lying abed, covers over your head, you shiver in dread, wondering what fearsome thing has come to call. Your toes tremble in fright, as you uncover an eye to peer into night, wishing for the smallest light. That is when you realize, too late, how you have sealed your sleepless fate, and …
… that you probably shouldn’t stack your newly purchased books directly in front of the air conditioner. It’s not good for the books, it’s not good for the air conditioner and it can keep you awake at night. So, clear off a shelf before you go, but, do go the Monster Book Fair on Sept. 28 – Oct. 2. to stock up on good reading for the coming winter.

This book sale will be held at First Avenue Elementary. On Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 28 -29 the hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Wednesday, Sept. 30, hours are 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct 1 will be another 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. day and on Friday, Oct. 2, the book sale hours will be 8-10 a.m.
