Lester (Les) Warren

Lester (Les) A. Warren went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016.  She was 95 years old.

Les was born on June 16, 1921 in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma to Robert and Mabel Garner.  Les moved with her family to Glendale, Arizona when she was 14 years old.   In 1943, she met and married Arthur Warren while he was station at Luke Air Force Base.  After the war, the two relocated to Ray, Arizona in the late 1940s and eventually to Kearny when the copper mines forced everyone to move out of Ray.  They remained in Kearny the rest of their years.

Les will be fondly remembered for her sweet, gentle heart and her kindness to everyone she met.  Also, for her delicious homemade pies and fabulous chocolate chip cookies.  But most of all, her family and friends will remember what a great prayer warrior she was and her love of God.

Les was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Warren.  She is survived by her four sons, Art (Darlene) of Wichita, Kansas,  and Chuck (Joanna),  Wiley (Larna), Norm (Myra) all of Kearny.   Les is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service for Les will be held at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Kearny on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 11 a.m.
