Grant workshops added in Oracle and Globe; Superior class almost full

Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick’s office is hosting a series of grant work shops in Superior, Oracle and Globe. The classes are taught by congressional staffer, Cathy Melivin, a grant specialist. The classes are designed to each participants where to find grants and how to prepare winning grant proposals.

The Superior class is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 24, 2015 at 10 a.m. and will be held at the Superior Chamber of Commerce office located at 165 Main St. in downtown Superior. Seats are filling quickly for this workshop.

The Oracle class will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Oracle Fire Station, located at 1475 W. American Ave. A third class has been scheduled for the Globe-Miami area and it will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015 at the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce, located at 1360 N. Broad St. in Globe. The Globe class will be an evening workshop held 6-8 p.m.

It is recommended that participants register in advance for the class so there are enough handouts prepared. Participants are encouraged to bring their own electronic devices if they wish.
