Last Friday, the Superior High School football team kicked off their 2022 season, traveling to a game against the Mogollon Mustangs. The Panthers suffered a tough loss, with a final score of 0-44.

“The boys were disappointed in the outcome,” said Coach Joshua Denhalter. “Mogollon is a tough team and well coached, and we felt we made a lot of mental errors. They are eager to get back at it.”

Adam Lopez was recognized for playing hard and with heart both as Quarterback and on defense.

When asked what the boys will be doing to prepare for their next game, coach Denhalter said, “Tightening up our mental muscles by focusing on our individual and team discipline.

The Panthers will play on Friday, Aug. 26, at Anthem Prep with a kickoff time of 7 p.m.
