Carnivaleros Trio to perform at Oracle State Park Star Party June 8

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather
The Carnivaleros Trio will perform at the Oracle State Park on June 8.

The Carnivaleros Trio stirs up a giant melting pot of sonic chorizo gumbo that combines moody Eastern European motifs and strains of western movie themes along with quirky stories of the American experience, laced with rhythms of Zydeco, Tex-Mex, and swing.

Add in the gorgeous summer star lit night at the Oracle State Park and you have the fixings for a party.

The Oracle State Park will host the Carnivaleros Trio on Saturday, June 8, from 6-10 p.m.

The trio features Gary Mackender on accordion and vocal, along with Karl Hoffman on bass, and Billy Yates on guitar.

Bring your own picnic and enjoy cooler Oracle temps, live music and sunset views from the upper patio of the historic Kannally Ranch House. By 8 p.m. as the music ends and the stars and planets appear, the SaddleBrooke SkyGazers Club will offer telescopes and interpretation of night sky objects for visitors. Oracle State Park is designated an International Dark Sky Park. Thanks to Friends of Oracle State Park for music sponsorship.

The event is free with park admission.

May 1 marks the beginning of summer hours for the Oracle State Park. The main entrance gate will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through the summer months. The Kannally Ranch House gift shop is open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Self-guided tours of the historic Kannally Ranch House are ongoing. Visit the park office/gift-shop and take a self-guided tour through the multi-level Kannally family home. The Mediterranean-Revival Style ranch house built 1929-1933, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Guided tours of the historic Kannally Ranch House begins at 11 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday for the drop-in public. The tour is 45-minutes in length. Alternate times and days may be added by reservation.

For reservations, please call (520) 896-2425.
