Voices in the Oaks Chorale

The Voices in the Oaks Chorale, a community chorus sponsored by the Oracle Piano Society, will resume rehearsals for its spring session, beginning Thursday, March 9 at the Oracle Center for the Arts (OrCA). Rehearsals will culminate in a performance presented on Sunday, May 21, 3 p.m. at OrCA.

The Voices in the Oaks is a non-auditioned community chorus, presenting two concerts a year – one in the spring and one in the fall. The chorus is open to all singers, aged 16 and above. Music-reading skills are helpful, but are not a strict requirement. All who enjoy singing in a choral setting are welcome.

Rehearsals will be held at OrCA, 700 E Kingston Street in Oracle every Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. There is a required $50 participation fee, which is used to cover the cost of sheet music and the rehearsal accompanist for the spring session. This spring’s theme is Classic Broadway. The Chorus will learn and present samples of Broadway Musicals from each decade spanning from the 1920s to the 1980s.

For more information, or to join the Voices in the Oaks Chorale, contact Choral Director, Mary Huebner via email: huebner@oraclepianosociety.org or phone: 520-896-2808.
