Oracle residents review various plans for the Nuestro Park in Oracle.
Approximately a dozen Oracle residents showed up Thursday night to help put in more of their ideas for the redesign of the Oracle Park (on Nuestro).
Around last September, after the initial meeting for the Oracle Park redesign, Kent Taylor, the Open Space and Trails Director for Pinal County, went with a few members of Oracle to the U of A to help choose some designs for the park. Michael Cimino, a second- year graduate student of the U of A School of Landscape Architecture and Planning, and his fellow classmates put those designs into five different projects.

The Oracle residents were invited to the Oracle Fire Station to write down what they did and didn’t like about each of the five project designs. Those ideas were written on Post-It notes and put on the bigger maps of the park redesigns.
In addition to the Oracle residents attending, Pete Rios, the Pinal County Supervisor for District One and vice-chairman, attended.
With these inputs, Kent and the fellow members of Oracle are one step closer to developing the final masterplan for the park.
However, Kent said that it will probably take at least a few more months to whittle everyone’s ideas down into the final masterplan.
Cimino added that starting this semester, this project will be all his.
