The Oracle Fire District and San Manuel Fire District are offering free smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms to residents. This program is funded through a FEMA grant under the Community Risk Reduction program.
The program includes free smoke and CO alarms, including installation, and, while they last, LED night lights. Hard of hearing alarms are also available to qualified residents. The alarms have a 10 year battery life and must be installed according to the alarm manufacturer’s instructions by fire department staff or volunteers.
This program will start Dec. 1, 2016 until supplies last.
This is an excellent opportunity to protect your family and home this winter. OFD and San Manuel Fire Department wants to remind everyone to service your home heating systems and be extra cautious with open flame such as candles and fireplaces.
You can schedule an installation appointment by contacting Dale Suter at 520-850-9713 for Oracle and Charlene Stanford Monday through Friday during Office hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for San Manuel at 520-385-9231.
