On Sept. 27, 2016 at about 1:30 p.m., Pinal County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of E. American Ave. and Our Way, in Oracle and found a man was deceased in his vehicle.

The man is identified as Gerold Flick, a 70-year-old Oracle resident. The vehicle is a 2004 gray Kia Rio.

Sheriff Paul Babeu said, “The car was found on its side with smoke coming out of it, however, there were no witnesses to the incident. Deputies found the driver deceased in the car. There were no other occupants. The deputies investigating the incident will try to gather physical evidence from the scene to determine what happened, but, since there were no witnesses, it may not be possible to know for sure what happened. We will work with the medical examiner’s office to determine if there were any medical issues that may have contributed to the crash.”

If anyone may have information on this incident, they are asked to call PCSO at 520-866-5111.
