Celebrating with our champions!

Last week, Resolution Copper hosted an ice cream social in front of its offices on Main Street to celebrate the Superior Little League – Senior League Softball Team who won the state softball championship.  The team advanced to the Western Regional Softball Tournament in Missoula, Montana.

Coaches Martin Navarette and Michael Alonzo thanked the community for their support of the team.  The league had to make travel arrangements for the team, coaches and chaperones in a a very short time frame.  In less than three days the entire trip, which cost $17,000, was funded through generous donations from local community groups, residents, Superiorities and businesses.

It’s safe to say that the whole town is cheering for the girls.
