Mammoth –  The Mammoth Fire Department is sounding the alarm: it’s time to get ready for the annual 4th of July Pool Party. While they love to make sure everyone gets a free chance to take a dip and eat a (hot) dog, volunteers and donations are always welcome and help ensure a better time for all.

The Charity Thrift shop is stepping up and setting aside a day when all proceeds will be donated to the fire department, earmarked for the 4th of July Pool Party. So, drop by the thrift shop at 113 Jones St. in Mammoth on Saturday, June 25, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. to find your needful, or just fun, items and help support your community while getting a great price.

If you have items you have been eyeing around the house, the sort of things that are nice, but, not anything you use or which are cluttering up your home, now is a good time to get motivated to pack them up and bring them in as donations to help the cause. Or, if you can’t bring them in, you can call Jessee Walker at 520-975-2653 to arrange for them to be picked up.

Items that are appropriate for donation and likely to be found for sale  include housewares, electronics, clothes, tools, furniture, appliances, books and DVDs. If you have a question about an item, call the thrift store or drop by for a complete list of items.
