Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens (PGCSC) announced the retirement of long-time member Patricio Romero of Kearny from their Advisory Council. Romero joined the Advisory Council in February of 2003.
Members honored Romero with a plaque expressing their appreciation for the 12 years of service he has committed to serving the seniors of Pinal and Gila counties.
PGCSC provides services for seniors 60 years-of-age and older and disabled adults in Pinal and Gila counties. The Advisory Council is made up of individuals from all areas of both counties and advises the agency on senior issues in their communities. The Advisory Council is seeking community people to serve on the Council. Contact Olivia Guerrero for information and application.
PGCSC, in partnership with local towns and cities, support local senior centers and the Meals on Wheels program. Other services provided include legal services assistance; caregiver support services; health promotion; behavioral health programs; case management; housekeeping/home making; attendant care; respite services; minor home repair; senior employment program; and assistance with Medicare and related programs, ombudsman program and Medicare/Medicaid fraud and abuse awareness.
