San Manuel Miner

After an 11-point loss to Ray earlier in the week, the San Manuel boys’ basketball team ended last week with consecutive wins against Hayden and the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind. The Miners defeated the Lobos, 67 – 38, before cruising past the Sentinels, 66 – 25. With the back-to-back wins, the Miners are now 3 – 3 on the season.

Gabriel Sierra and Armando Sierra led the Miners’ offense against the Lobos, finishing with 13 and 10 points, respectively. A balanced scoring effort paced the Miners with 11 different players scoring in the win.

Gabriel Sierra scored a game-high 13 points and Ramon Ruiz added 12 points in the win against the Sentinels. Like the win against Hayden, the Miners had a balanced scoring effort with 10 different players hitting the score sheet. Armando Sierra, Tito Lee, and Antonio Gallego each finished with seven points in the game.

Upcoming schedule: Dec. 12 at Santa Cruz Valley. Game begins at 7 p.m.
