Armed robbers last Friday held up the Superior Farmer’s Market and absconded with an unknown amount of money, according to the Superior Police Department.

Police Chief Mark Nipp said that at about 10:10 p.m. on Friday, July 25, two unknown masked males entered the Superior Farmer’s Market located at 798 W. Hwy. 60. One of the subjects had a handgun and pointed it at a female clerk, demanding money. She complied and gave the armed suspects an unknown amount of cash. The suspects exited the business and left the area on foot.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Superior Police received the call at 10:15 p.m. Officers arrived quickly, Nipp said, checking the welfare of the two employees and checking the area for the suspects. The scene was then processed for evidence.

“Investigators have developed several investigative leads,” Nipp said, “and are diligently working to solve this case.” He urged anyone with information regarding this investigation to contact Officer Tony Doran at 520-689-5254.
