The Fourth of July celebrations were at the swimming pools this year in Mammoth and San Manuel.

At the Mammoth pool, families were treated to free swimming, hot dogs and cold drinks. There was a raffle held for kids. The prizes included three bicycles, hula hoops and some other items. The San Pedro Valley Lions Club sponsored this year’s event.

In San Manuel it was cloudy, sprinkling and because of the threat of lightning, people were kept out of the pool. Over 60 people attended but left after enjoying a short time in the pool, some hot dogs, hamburgers and watermelon.
