On April 4, James Morris, son of Ken and Joyce Morris, was promoted to the rank of Commander, U.S. Navy. Captain Daryl Daniels, Commanding Officer – U.S.Naval Hospital Guantanamo Bay, Cuba promoted Morris to his current rank after CAPT Nancy Condon (Director of Nursing Services) recited his oath of office.
Over the past 16 years, CDR James “Bobby” Morris has been serving his country as a Naval Officer within the Nurse Corps. He and his wife, Lynn Lutz, along with their children Elizabeth and Kacey, have spent seven years living abroad in Spain, Guam and Cuba.
Other operational billets included a western pacific tour aboard the USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) as the Ship’s Nurse; Officer in Charge of the Patient Evacuation Team, Ramadi, Iraq; and Medical Liaison to Regional Command South / NATO, Kandahar, Afghanistan.
Ken and Joyce Morris, along with Bill and Beth Lutz, are very proud of the sacrifices that their son and daughter have endured for our country.
