Kearny Police Report – March 23, 2016

According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

March 14

  Citizen assist with a fingerprinting request.

  Animal complaint concerning foul odor coming from a back yard on the 100 block of Hartford.

March 15

  Citizen assist with a request of transportation home.

March 16

  A verbal warning was issued to juveniles who were skateboarding on restricted areas on Alden Rd.

  A report was received of juveniles playing around a vacant house on the 300 block of Hartford.

March 17

  Theft of medication was reported on the 300 block of Hartford.

March 18

  Business assist with traffic control for two funeral processions.

  Motorist assist with a tire blow-out on Hwy. 177.

March 19

  An animal complaint was received concerning an aggressive dog on Kearny Lake Rd.

  A welfare check was requested on the 300 block of Greenwich.

  Citizen assist to an elderly lady who needed help getting home and out of the heat.

  Reckless driving was reported on Alden Rd.

  Agency assist with a request to locate.

  During the period of March 14 to March 20 there were 11 ambulance runs, one alarm drop and one vacation house check request.
