Kearny Police Report – June 15, 2016

  According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

June 6

  An animal complaint was received at Hubbard Park.

  Extra patrol was requested.

  Theft was reported on the 1000 block of Industrial Dr.

  A verbal warning was issued for a stop sign violation.

  A citation was issued for a stop sign violation.

June 7

  A fire was reported at the Ray Jr. High gym,

  Agency assist at Ray Junction.

  A citation was issued for a stop sign violation.

  An unwanted subject was reported on the 200 block of Jamestown.

June 8

  Burglary/criminal damage was reported at the Kearny Pool.

June 10

  Agency assist on N. Miento.

  Reckless driving on reported on Alden Rd.

June 11

  Dogs at large were reported on Alden Rd.

  Michael Cooper, 52, was arrested for a violation of a court order. He was cited and released.

  A report was taken involving found property.

  A verbal warning was issued for an equipment violation.

June 12

  Agency assist to Hayden Police Department.

  Suspicious activity was reported on the 300 block of Hartford.

  A vacation house watch was requested.

  An animal complaint was received involving dogs left on property.

  Agency assist on Hwy. 177. 

During the period of June 6 to June 13 there were 14 ambulance runs and one 911 open line report.
