The Copper Corridor Economic Development Coalition received $10,000 in additional funding from the Pinal County Board of Supervisors this month to help support the development of a plan to expand the broadband internet access in the Copper Corridor. The funding will not cover the cost of installation of the higher speed internet but the funding will help to bring providers and users together to determine what the costs would be to have the broadband internet in the area. CCEDC contractor Bill Bolin will be reaching out to local communities, first responders and local internet providers as they develop the plan.
