Sharon June (McKee) Newton

  Sharon June (McKee) Newton, 71, a resident of San Manuel, AZ, and former resident of Show Low, Arizona, died Oct. 21, 2016, in San Diego, California, where she was visiting her daughter.

  Sharon was born Feb. 25, 1945 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Jasper and Bernice (McMahan) McKee. Sharon moved with her family to San Manuel, AZ, where she attended school and graduated from San Manuel High School, Class of 1963. She went to work for Mountain Bell immediately after graduation. 

  Sharon married Robert Newton June 10, 1967 in Tucson, Arizona. After a short time in Northern California, the Newtons returned to Tucson, and Sharon continued with Mountain Bell. She gave birth to the light of her life, her daughter, Robynn. Sharon found time to start a new career in real estate while raising her daughter.  She moved to the White Mountains of Arizona in the winter of 1994.

  Sharon was a resident of Show Low for many years. She continued her real estate career in the White Mountain area. Sharon loved the White Mountains and all its beauty and especially enjoyed fishing. She left Show Low in 2012 to return to a lower elevation. 

  Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper Francis McKee and Bernice Louise (McMahan) McKee.

  She is survived by her husband, Robert Newton of San Manuel; two sisters, Vickie (Jerry) Thomas of Colorado and Elane (Scooter) Burns of Texas; a brother, Robert Jeffrey (Janie) McKee of Tucson, AZ; her daughter, Robynn Dorffi (Wesley) of Fallbrook, California; and grandsons, Layton Newton Dorffi and Maddox Newton Dorffi of Fallbrook, California.

  A loving wife, mother, sister, and friend to all, she will missed and loved forever,. 

  A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m., Nov. 12, 2016, at her home at 932 W 6th Ave, San Manuel, AZ.
