Mammoth-San Manuel has some SUPER spellers

  On Jan. 29, 18 students from First Avenue Elementary, Mammoth Elementary STEM School and San Manuel Jr./Sr. High School took part in the Mammoth-San Manuel Unified School District Spelling Bee. 

  The winners were: First Place – Alyssandra Alvarez; Second Place – Serenity Snare; Third Place – Rianna Estrada; Fourth Place/First Alternate – Jocelyn Romero; Fifth Place/Second Alternate – Zeke Valdez; and Sixth Place/Third Alternate – Aliyah Lopez.  All six will attend the Pinal County Spelling Bee in February. 

  The school winners are:

First Avenue Elementary School

1st Place Winner – Zeke Valdez, 4th Grade

2nd Place Winner – Jocelyn Romero, 5th Grade

3rd Place Winner – Brian Mullens, 6th Grade

4th Place Winner – Audrey Hawkins, 5th Grade

5th Place Winner – Tommy Morris, 6th Grade

6th Place Winner – Aliyah Lopez, 5th Grade

1st Place Winner – Ismael Gonzales, 4th Grade

2nd Place Winner – David Valencia, 5th Grade

3rd Place Winner – Izayah Valenzuela, 5th Grade
