Mammoth Police Report – June 22, 2016

  According to state law, police may arrest suspected offenders by two methods. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damage amounts are estimates.

  Items are given to the San Manuel Miner by the Mammoth Police Department and reflect information available at the time the report is compiled.

June 6

  A break in was reported on Tiger Dr. An officer responded. Two men fled the scene.

  Circle K on Hwy. 77 reported that a man was asking customers to buy him stuff. An officer responded. The man was told to leave. 

June 8

  A reckless driver was reported n the area of Hwy. 77 and the Circle K. An officer responded and cited the driver for driving on a suspended license.

  A person was reported missing in the area of Rolfs. The person showed up later that night.

June 9

  An ice chest was reported lying in the middle of Hwy. 77 near milepost 116 with all its contents spilled out. An officer responded and picked up the debris.

June 11

  A couple acting suspiciously in a vehicle was reported on Hwy. 77. An officer responded but was unable to locate them.

June 12

  A man on Main St. reported that he was physically assaulted by his uncle.

  An officer was requested to check on a refrigerator at the softball field. The refrigerator had been locked but was now open. Nothing was damaged or stolen.

  Calls not listed include: medical assist (10), animal complaint (2), fingerprints (3), vacation house watch/welfare check (1), fire (7), agency assist (1), warrants served/cleared (2), civil standby (1) and traffic stop (7).
