Is this Insanity?

Day late!  I can only hope people voted their conscience.

It wasn’t that long ago townspeople wanted  changes of council members. The (unintended)  mismanagement of funds had put Mammoth in deep debt … With the fate of our town on the line, we were close to having county take over and suspend our rights of incorporation.  Then  a man stepped up to the challenge. His intent: to get our town in the black, solve problems and leave after one term.   People responded and voted for him and Mr. Sloan.

Within 16 MONTHS of convincing our attorney and Pat Walker for financial advice, to hang in. He volunteered his time daily to getting  Mammoth back on track.  Within these 16 months Mammoth was paying its bills on time and actually getting a real balanced budget.

This required time away from personal needs, on his own time, meetings, phone calls the dedication, efforts, and expenses to do all this.  Without expecting any reward, financial or otherwise.

Town’s people made sacrifices as well to keep our town afloat, people stepped up to volunteer to help. Thank You.

With more work to be done, I am now witnessing people who championed him, turning on this man,  Some of these people were on council when it all went awry.   Those same people are running for re-election .

I now understand Mammoth is back on an unsustainable spending.

Is this insanity? Definition: “Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.”

I love this town. Do or say what you will, it’s time to step up. VOTE!!
