San Carlos, Miami Send Teams to Baseball and Softball Playoffs

The baseball and softball state playoffs will begin on Friday, Apr. 29 at sports complexes and stadiums throughout the state.

Miami’s softball and baseball teams each earned spots in the state playoffs as did the San Carlos softball team.

Below is the schedule for each local area team with game dates, times, locations, and opponents for this weekend.

MIAMI

Baseball – The No. 6-seeded Vandals earned a first-round bye and will await the winner between Mogollon and St. Augustine for a game at the Maryvale Baseball Complex on Saturday, Apr. 30 at 1 p.m. A win would send Miami to the quarterfinals on May 6 at the Tempe Diablo Complex.

Softball – The No. 23-seeded Lady Vandals will open their postseason against No. 10-seed Mohave Accelerated at the Rose Mofford Sports Complex on Friday, Apr. 29 at 5 p.m. With a win, the Lady Vandals would face No. 7-seed Seligman at Rose Mofford on Saturday, Apr. 30 at 11:30 a.m.

SAN CARLOS

Softball – The No. 9-seeded Lady Braves will take on No. 24 Academy of Tucson in the first round of the playoffs at the Rose Mofford Sports Complex on Friday, Apr. 29 at 3 p.m. With a win, San Carlos would advance to play No. 8 Pima in the second round at Rose Mofford on Saturday, Apr. 30 at 9:30 a.m.
