Arizona Medical Eye Unit to visit Mammoth

  The San Pedro Valley Lions Club of Mammoth, AZ is sponsoring The Arizona Medical Eye Unit from the Lions Vision Center, Inc. This “Unit” will be giving Ophthalmological Medical Eye Examinations in Mammoth, AZ on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018.

  The fee per patient is $40 cash.  Phone Billy at (520) 487-2647 or Gilbert at (520) 400-0243 for an appointment. 

  Spaces are limited to 20 eye exams starting at 8 a.m. and the last appointment at 4:15 p.m.  A lunch break between 11:20 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. will be taken.

  The Arizona Medical Eye Unit was donated to the Lions Vision Center, Inc. through the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs of Arizona.  The Arizona Ophthalmological Society provided the funding for the 2012 Ford F-350 truck.  The Arizona Medical Eye Unit is sponsored by the Arizona Ophthalmological Society.  Arizona Ophthalmologists in private practice volunteer their time on the “Unit” and receive no remuneration.  The “Unit” has been in operation since January, 1976, and travels approximately 13,000 miles per year to serve thousands of patients in the outlying rural areas of Arizona.
