Summer softball officially open

  The Summer Softball League kicked off their opening ceremonies this past weekend on June 11, at the San Manuel Little League softball field. Teams came from San Manuel, Mammoth, Oracle, and Hayden. The stands of the softball field were packed with supportive parents, spectators, and young athletes ready to start their summer-ball season.

  The ceremonies started with the introduction to this season’s teams. Starting with T-ball there was The Little Devils from San Manuel, The Mammoth Unicorns, Bat Attitudes from San Manuel, The Wildbats from Oracle, and The Hayden Redsocks. Next was the 11-U teams, which included; The Peaches from Oracle, The Firecrackers from San Manuel, Win or Lose from San Manuel, The Rebels from Hayden, and The Brats from San Manuel. Last, the crowd was introduced to the 16-U teams; The Heart Breakers from San Manuel, CheetoVibe Cheetahs from Oracle, The Devils from San Manuel, and The Hell’s Angels from Hayden.

  Sponsors of this season’s Summer Softball League include 7 Sky Motel, Silver Mountain Mining, Oracle Ford, CheetoVibez Smoke Shop, Salt N Pepper, Downtown Hardware, SaddleBrooke Community Outreach and San Pedro Valley Pizza Co.
