Earth Day at the San Manuel Library. Volunteers often help with events like this one and Board Members set up the events for kids and adults.

The San Manuel Library will be holding its election at the library for three board seats. Voting begins Jan. 27 and continues through Feb. 10 at the library. Voters must have a San Manuel Library Card and be of legal age to vote.

  The candidates are:

Jennifer Elliot:

I am a proud resident of San Manuel, previously living in Tucson. My professional background consisted of working for a law firm for almost 20 years. I had the opportunity to be exposed to many facets of the legal practice. This experience provided me a very unique lens to critically look at process and procedure to refine and adapt. My husband Tommy has a diverse background working with Staples in the technology world for Apple Computer and Comcast/NBCUniversal in a training and service capacity. I am now a stay at home mother of 2 boys (6 & 2). Both the boys are regulars of the library. We enjoy coming to story time and participating in many other fantastic programs offered. In my spare time I enjoy baking for family and friends. I love to go thrifting and collecting all things mushroom related. I regularly donate blood to the Red Cross.  So much so, that I have donated 5 gallons.

Linda Lee (incumbent):

Linda has lived in San Manuel since 1971 and has volunteered at the library for several years during the 70s and has presently worked in the library since 2010.  She is currently serving her fourth term as the Chairperson of the Board.  Linda enjoys volunteering in the library because of the people that visit the library and helping maintain a serviceable library for the community.

Louise Krouse (incumbent):

Louise has lived in San Manuel for 43 years and worked for the San Manuel School District for 31 ½ years. She dearly loves volunteering at the library here in San Manuel and helping people to  learn new skills.  She is currently the Board Secretary and would love to continue serving our library by once again being elected to the Board of Trustees.

Vicky Myers:

I am a native of Arizona as well as Pinal County and have lived in San Manuel 37 years. I am retired from the banking and finance sectors. I worked in Kearny, Tucson, and San Manuel. My interest in serving on the board of the San Manuel library is to assist in maintaining the excellent programs and services that are currently offered as well as exploring avenues of new services.
