SAN MANUEL – Providing safe and reliable service is priority one at APS. Sometimes, to maintain or upgrade equipment that is vital to keeping the lights on, APS needs to temporarily shut off power to small portions of the grid – where the work is to be performed.
Over the next two weeks, customers in the San Manuel area will experience two short service interruptions, allowing APS to perform required upgrades to the infrastructure in the area. These upgrades will help ensure continued reliable service for years to come.
Each service interruption is scheduled for no longer than three hours, and will take place on:
• Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 11 p.m. to Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 2 a.m.
• Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 11 p.m. to Thursday, Nov. 10 at 2 a.m.
For customers who will be impacted by these planned outages, APS recommends the following:
• Keep refrigerators and freezers closed as much as possible
• Before the scheduled start of the outage, turn off or unplug sensitive electronic equipment such as computers, audio/visual equipment, etc.
• Notify your security monitoring system if you have one.
