Carol Jean Velasquez

  Carol Jean Velasquez of San Manuel, Arizona went to be with the Lord on Aug. 3, 2016.

  Carol was born in Wiley Ford, West Virginia on Sept. 8, 1939 to the late Roy and Mildred Park. She married Edward Aldridge in 1956 and after his passing married Henry Velasquez July of 1981.

  Carol was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was known for her wonderful hospitality, great cooking and warm hugs. She was truly the epitome of Proverbs 31:28. “Her children arise and call her blessed;and her husband also, and he praises her.”

  She is survived by her husband, Henry Velasquez, her children Mike (Sue) Aldridge, David (Roxann) Aldridge, Kelly (Mike) Sloan, Donny (Kristina) Aldridge, Robert (Jenny) Velasquez, and Michael (Amy) Velasquez. She is also survived by her grandchildren Chantel, Ricky, Aaron, Joseph, Kristen, Bradley, Nicolas, Chelsey and Alyssa and her great grandchildren Dylan, Ethan, Annabelle, Jackson and Parker. She is also survived by her siblings Ann, Jack, Norma, Rená, Sharon and Gary.

  She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Bernie, Ken, and Don.

  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016 at Living Word Chapel at 3941 W. Hwy. 77 in Oracle, Arizona 85623 at 11 a.m.

  Following the service, a reception in her honor will be held at the Elks Club in San Manuel, Arizona.
