At its June meeting, the Superior Town Council approved a beautification project for Besich Park.  The project is coordinated by Veto Cervantes and Bruce Armitage; the duo worked on a beautification project at the Bob Jone’s museum last year which included the construction of a new rock wall, sign and custom lighting at the entry.

Their next project has a much larger scope and will include a perimeter wall around Besich park, the installation of a water feature, stucco repair to existing walls and a small playground.  They anticipate that they will need to raise $15,000 to complete the project but they plan to complete the project in phases as funding becomes available.

The Superior Optimist Club and the Superior Chamber of Commerce have both endorsed the project and committed some support and funding to the project.  The Superior Optimist Club is hosting a Go Fund Me fundraiser online to help raise funds for the project.  You can donate online at:https://www.gofundme.com/BesichPark or you can make checks payable to the Town of Superior.  All funds will be used to complete the beautification projects.

For more information or to get involved in the project, contact Bruce Armitage at 480-773-8233 or Veto Cervantes at 520-827-1808.
