Bob Scarborough is a geologist. He has taught geology, archaeology and astronomy and given geology-type guided tours throughout the southwest. He has given presentations at Oracle State Park and the Acadia Ranch Museum in Oracle.
Most recently he guided a geological tour through the San Pedro Valley which included stops at Cascabel and Hooker’s Hot Springs in the Mule Shoe Ranch area. His talks and tours have been popular and are always well attended.
On Friday, June 5, at 6:30 p.m., Bob will be at the Acadia Ranch Museum. The Oracle Historical Society invites everyone to bring those mystery rocks and minerals they may have to the museum where Bob will identify them for you. He will talk about the geology of the area and answer any questions you may have.
Admission is free.
The museum is located on Mt. Lemmon Rd. near the intersection with American Ave. in Oracle.
John Hernandez lives in Oracle. He is retired and enjoys writing and traveling. He is active in the Oracle Historical Society. He covers numerous public events, researches historical features and writes business/artist profiles.
