The Hayden football team lost its fourth-straight game last week at rival Ray, 32 – 6. The fourth-ranked Bearcats were celebrating Homecoming.

The Lobos’ defense has been the problem during the losing streak. It’s allowing almost 52 points per game over the past four games. On the other hand, the offense is only averaging about 15 points per game.

Against Ray, Overall Player of the Game Emmett Sims recorded 12 tackles. Offensively, sophomore running back Brandon Cruz led the Lobos with 55 rushing yards and a touchdown. Cruz was named the Offensive Player of the Game for his efforts.

On defense, the Lobos were led by sophomore John Henry Goana who finished with 16 tackles against the Bearcats. He also had a fumble recovery. Cruz recorded an interception in the game.

The Lobos host St. David this Friday at 7:00 p.m.
