The Jr. Panthers won their second straight game last Tuesday, defeating visiting Miami, 48 – 0.

The Jr. Panthers jumped out to a 20 – 0 lead in the first quarter on three touchdown runs by Steven Ybarra. He scored on runs of 15, 3, and 25 yards and hooked up with Jesus Castellanos on a two-point PAT.

Two of Ybarra’s touchdown runs in the quarter were set up by the defense. Banjo Hernandez recovered a fumble to setup the first score of the game. Later, Arthur Hernandez’ quarterback sack, forced fumble, and recovery setup Ybarra’s second score of the game. Hernandez finished the game with three sacks.

Ybarra scored his fourth touchdown in the game to start the second quarter and connected with Daniel McConnell on a two-point PAT after a 20-yard touchdown run by Mando Longoria.

The Jr. Panthers outscored Miami 14 – 0 in the second half. Mando Longoria scored his second touchdown of the game in third quarter on a 50-yard run. Ybarra and Castellanos converted the two-point PAT on a pass play. Ybarra closed out the scoring with a 35-yard run, his fifth touchdown of the game.
