Members of the Superior High School Volleyball Team wash cars to earn money for a trip to the University of Arizona.

The Superior High School girls volleyball team has been working hard this Summer to raise money to attend the David Rubio Volleyball camp at the University of Arizona in Tucson. For the past two weekends the team has hosted a car wash and bake sales. The team needs to raise $1000 to cover their lodging expenses. With support from the Red Bear Outfitters and OMYA, their registration fees have been paid.

Coach Cheryl Lopez explained that the camp will help these upperclassmen players enhance team building, and develop stronger skills and strategy. Lady Panthers attending the camp this year are: Juniors: Gabby Salcido, Phalicitee Thomas, Ari San Miguel and Seniors: Hunter Flanagan, Lindsay Duarte, Cierra Navarrette and Vanessa Perez.

If you are willing to contribute to this camp please contact the Superior High School at 520-689-3100.
