Ray Junior High Boys Track Team

Ray Junior High Girls Track Team

Kearny- The Ray Jr. High Girls and Boys Track teams capped a successful season at the Central Junior HIgh League Track Championship in San Manuel. The girls and boys competed against teams from Globe, San Manuel, Eloy, Oracle and San Carlos.

The Ray Girls won their division for the third straight year. Medal winners for the girls were:

• Savannah Rodriguez, First Place in 100 Meters and 200 Meters and 4 x 100 relay; Second Place in 4×400 Relay

• Corina Martinez, Second Place in 400 Meters, Third Place in 200 Meters, Third Place in Hurdles

• Jori Hudson, Third Place in 100 Meters, Fourth Place in 400 Meters, Fourth Place in 200 Meters

• Augie Hing, First Place in 400 Meters, First Place in 4×100, Second Place in 4×400.

• Riley Cude, Fourth in 1600 Meters

• Brittany Smitch, First Place in 4×100, Third Place in High Jump

• Kaylee Faucette, Fourth in High Jump

Other members of the Ray Girls Track Team were Emma Cude, Emily Rutter, Hailee Rutter, Sheila Arbizo, Gracie Sheppard, Ashlyn Baca, Allison Ballard and Bianca Gutierrez.

The Ray Boys team finished third in their division. Medal winners for the boys were:

• Chandler Coleman, Third Place in 4×100, Third Place in 4×400, Second Place in Hurdles

• Tanner Willis, Third Place in 4×100, Second Place in Long Jump, Third Place in Hurdles, Third Place in 4×400

• Dillon Sanders, Third Place in 4×400, Fourth Place in Discus

•Skyler Hughes, Third Place in Skyler Hughes

• Eric Manriquez, Third Place in 4×100, Third Place in 4×400

Other members of the boys team were Augie Sosa, Guillermo Ortega, Stone Patterson, Dakota Willis, E.J. Baca, Chris Higginbottom, Jaden Lagunas, Brady Chester, Laine Gotto, Marcos Moreno, and Aaron Acevedo.
