Miners’ track teams capture sectional championship

San Manuel Miner

The Miners Men’s and Women’s track teams won the Division IV, Section II Track and Field Championships last week. The Women’s team finished its season undefeated. The Men’s team had a strong season as well, finishing first at all its meets with one exception – one runner-up finish.

Nathaniel Lopez was named Athlete of the Meet for his performance running the anchor leg of the 4x400m Relay. Lopez finished strong over the last 200m, capturing second place for the Miners.
