This year’s Superior Little League games will be different from the 50 plus year history of the league. Parents and spectators of America’s sports wont have to keep asking what the score of the game is because for the first time in the leagues history there will be an electronic score board on the field.

For the past six years the leadership of the Superior Little League has worked diligently to make many needed improvements to the ball park, the bathrooms have been remodeled and grass was planted on the field and many other improvements. These improvements and additions came through the leadership of the all volunteer board and a collaboration from other partners within the community and the region. This year, Resolution Copper has provided $10,000 to support the league, while the donation was made this year the board had already began working on funding and purchasing a score board for the field. Superior Environmental and Marcanti Electric volunteered time to install the new score board.

The T-Ball season for the Little League will begin on March 25 this year. Registrations are now open for the baseball and softball seasons. Registrations are set for Friday, March 21 and 28 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Superior Fire Department training room on Golf Course Road. For more information on the league or registrations please contact Arlene Diaz-Gonzalez at 480-309-4049.
