San Manuel Wrestling will hold the sixth annual Co-Ed Softball Tournament Fundraiser on June 28 at the San Manuel softball fields. The event has been successful in the past and they are looking forward to another exciting event. The San Manuel Wrestlers are participating in volunteer workouts over the summer. Coach Daniel Najera encourages everyone to practice, lift and work hard so that they can become champions this winter season.

The sport of wrestling is somewhat an individual sport but having teams helps contribute with moral support and encouragement which can help with enhanced performances. The volunteer coaches teach sportsmanship that includes behavior on and off the mat showing admiration for opponents. The wrestling coaches teach teammates to participate with each other, safety rules and healthy competitions.

The people in our community that volunteer to help make these programs triumphant are the backbone of our youth. They are pleased to provide instruction and dedication for a gratifying experience to everyone involved.

If interested in participating in the upcoming softball tournament please contact Daniel Najera at 520-603-9929 to enter a team. There will be well stocked concessions available and prizes for the first and second place teams. All proceeds will benefit San Manuel Wrestling. All San Manuel athletes please feel free to work out in the weight room every Monday through Thursday. The weight room opens at 8 a.m. this summer. Daniel Najera said, “If you want to be successful, get with the program.”
