Romero, Navarrette lead Lady Panthers in win

Player of the Game Cierra Navarrette recorded a double-double (10 points and 10 assists) and senior Kiara Romero scored a game-high 16 points as Panthers defeated Hayden last Tuesday, 44 – 24. It was the Panthers’ second win over the Lobos this season.

Romero’s 16 points was a personal season-high and the fifth time this season she has scored in double figures. Navarrette also set a personal season-high with 10 points scored. Elizabeth Ochoa and Ariana San Miguel scored 8 points and 7 points, respectively.

The Panthers finish their season with 2 games this week beginning at Ray on February 5, 2014. They’ll play their home and season finale on February 7 versus Mogollon. Both games are scheduled to tipoff at 5:30 p.m.
