After scoring 70 points in the season opening win versus San Pasqual Valley, the Lobos have scored less than half as many in two games since. In their most recent game last Friday, the Lobos fell behind 32 – 0 at halftime, eventually losing to Ft. Thomas, 48 – 14.

Friday’s game was scoreless at the end of the first quarter before the Apaches exploded for 32 points in the second quarter. The Apaches outscored the Lobos in the second half, 16 – 14. The loss dropped the Lobos from the rankings released each week by the Arizona Republic.

It doesn’t get any easier this week as the Lobos host sixth-ranked Gilbert Christian. The Knights should be an angry bunch after suffering their first loss of the season last week against second-ranked Mogollon, 64 – 53.

The game on Friday on Friday is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
