The fifth-ranked Ray girls’ volleyball team won its fourth straight match last Thursday, defeating Hayden, 3 – 0 (25-19. 25-12, 25-13). During the four-match winning streak, the Lady ‘Cats have lost only one game.
Against the Lobos, junior Stormee Galka led the team with 14 kills. Senior Sydney Chenoweth led the team with 16 service points while senior Sabrina Martinez recorded 15 service points. Galka had three service aces.
Elissa Rodriguez led the team with three digs and Chenoweth was tops with 12 assists.
The Lady ‘Cats are 5 – 1 overall and 3 – 1 in sectional play, one game behind sectional leader Joseph City. They’ll host Superior on Thursday, September 25 at 5:00 p.m.
