Two boys play with the new Carpet Ball Alley built by Clayton McPherson. It is by far the most popular of the games.

Last month, volunteers and Friends of the Kearny Library proudly celebrated the grand opening of the Kearny Library Activity Center and announced that it has a new program: Friday Kids Activity Program.

From 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the center is open to kids for games, Legos and so much more.

The Kearny Elks gave the center a $500 grant which was used to purchase Legos, games and balls.

The center’s director is John Putman and the center is located at the old Teen Center right next to the Kearny Library.

John Putman is the new Activities Director for the Kearny Library Activity Center.

Kids playing with some of the Legos, games and balls purchased with a grant from the Kearny Elks Lodge.

All the possibilities that can be built with Legos on Lego Club Fridays.
