On May 4, the Superior baseball team traveled to Anthem Prep to take on the Eagles in the quarterfinals round of the 1A state baseball championship playoffs.

The game started off with both teams keeping each other from scoring any runs for the first two innings. During the third inning, the Panthers gave up 1 run. The fourth inning saw neither team post any runs.

In the fifth inning, the boys scored 2 runs, but gave up 3 runs. The sixth inning saw the Eagles post 3 more runs. During the seventh inning, the Panthers scored 2 more runs.

The game ended with a tough loss for the boys, and a final score of 4-7, closing out the Panthers’ 2024 baseball season. The boys ended their season with a record of 11-14.

Good job on a well-played season. We’ll see you on the field next season!
